When it comes to change it is often not the actual event itself that we fear but the fear of the unfamiliar and unknown. Fearing change is futile and counter-productive, its unavoidable. Whether it be learning new skills, changing jobs, meeting new people or moving home change is inevitable otherwise our lives would remain the same.
I've always loved to travel and if I had the money I could very easily spend my life travelling the world but there is also another part of me that seeks the comfort and stability of home.
Having become bored with my life in Scotland I started considering the idea of moving to Dubai. I had friends already living there, I enjoyed holidays there but could I actually see myself living there?
I spent months agonising over the move to Dubai - what if I hated it? would I miss my friends and family too much? what if I couldn't find a job? - the list is endless, but thanks to the support of my family and friends (UK and Dubai based) I finally managed to overcome all of my fears and make the difficult decision to move to Dubai.
Has it been the right decision? Only time will tell. I have set up this Blog to share my experiences of living and working in Dubai. If you liked what you've read so far and want to join me on my Dubai journey please watch out for future blog posts and follow me on Twitter, Google+ and Facebook.
